Different types of virus
One way that you can ensure the safety of your computer is by keeping informed about the different kinds of threats that your computer is at risk of. They are as follows;
- Spyware – once this programme has access to your computer, it can record what you are doing. i.e. it can record personal details, such as usernames/passwords/bank details that you use on websites.
- Ransomware – Forces you to pay a fee by stopping you from having access to your computer.
- Trojans – Programmes which look as though they are safe but actually open up a gateway that criminals can use to access your device and all of the information on it.
