An overview of the keyboard
The keyboard allows you to interact with your computer.
It allows you to type in text, navigate programs and control every aspect of your computer.
Originally computers only came with a keyboard and no mouse, so a computer can be completely controlled with a keyboard.
Keyboard Layout
When we first started making keyboards nobody knew how to best place the letters on the keyboard.
Originally people would organise the letters in alphabetical order
Many different layouts came into use until we finally settled on the QWERTY layout.
